STARS Foundation
Est. 2017

During their years together, Kristie and Valerie had the opportunity to meet and develop relationships with many families and professionals throughout Greene and Fayette Counties.
Beyond providing Early Intervention supports and services, they felt a need to do more for the children who without question have made a significant impact on their own lives.
In April 2017, Kristie and Valerie agreed to establish the STARS Foundation based on their beliefs, and to further support the children and their families, by providing them with social, educational, and health/welfare opportunities. STARS Foundation, Inc is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization located in Greene County.
Since inception, STARS Foundation has been doing just that! You can find them at a playgroup focusing on early childhood literacy, at a community park hosting a petting zoo with animals, or at a school gymnasium hosting a science fair related to STEM education.
Support the STARS Foundation, and together, we all can make a difference one STAR at a time!
Our Officers
President, Kristie Pekar-Rohrer (right) and Secretary/Treasurer, Valerie Kerr-Lapana (left) share in the belief that children deserve to experience the world around them through education, and by providing them with real life experiences to help cultivate and mold their imaginations, and spark a desire for learning. They recognize that all children grow and learn best by being in safe and nurturing environments that provide them with opportunities to explore, create, and just by doing.
