Co-Founder/Owner, Speech Language Pathologist
Valerie Kerr-Lapana, M.S. CCC-SLP, strives to involve each child and their family by providing them with a coaching model to begin laying a foundation for a bright future.
Valerie is a life-long resident of Greene County and co-founder of Specialized Therapy and Related Services (STARS). Valerie earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Master’s of Science degree in Speech Pathology. She holds the Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC), from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and is a Pennsylvania State Licensed Speech Language Pathologist. Valerie is an active participant in continuing education and received the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE). She holds certifications in sEMG for Swallowing and Vital Stim Therapy.
Valerie has over 22 years of experience as a Speech Language Pathologist working as a clinical Speech Language Pathologist and Rehab Manager in a long term care setting supervising an interdisciplinary team of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapists. Valerie also has over 15 years of Early Intervention experience and has worked with children and their families in Greene County and surrounding areas. Valerie strives to involve each child and their family by providing them with a coaching model to begin laying a foundation for a bright future.
