
Walinda Nicholson
Teacher of the Visually Impaired
Walinda Nicholson graduated from Carlow University with her Graduate Degree in Education as well as her teaching certifications in Early Childhood Education and Special Education. She also earned her Autism Endorsement at Carlow University. After meeting a student that was legally blind, she decided to obtain her certification as a Teacher of the Visually Impaired from the University of Pittsburgh. Walinda has eight years of teaching experience. She has experience working with children that have been diagnosed with CVI, Autism, and blindness. Walinda is able to read and write braille. She is a mother of two children. Walinda enjoys spending time with her family camping and visiting amusement parks.
